Blow it like Beckham!

No more bend it like Beckham...

No words to describe my feeling when the England vs. Portugal game ended this morning. What I can say, England has only Beckham to blame. His holding of nerve was incomparable to Zidane's when it comes to critical situation just like what we witnessed in this morning's penalty shoot-out.

Should Beckham convert the penalty, and the script of first five penalty taken by Portugese remain, England would definitely advance to semis. Despite trailing for 80 minutes, credit to Potugal who relentlessly putting pressure on England in looking for equaliser.

Taking off Rooney was a point, and tactical changes by Erikkson when he replaced Scholes and Gerrard could be another point as this reduced the supply from midfield to an already Rooney-less front.
