Hazy days back in KL

KLCC blanketed by hazeFirst time experiencing haze, it was in 1997 during my student days in IIUM Matric at Lembah Pantai. It's the worst haze ever, I guess. Rebung-like Telekom tower nearby Matric Center was largely unseen. Every-body was wearing mask including me.

Yesterday morning, the sky was cloudy and thought that it's gonna rain. It's not what I think. It's haze! Haze strikes back shrouding KL, Penang and Malacca. According to AFP Online, its reason is open burning in Sumatera Indonesia. Hmm, dah boleh agak...

If the haze is getting worse, we will have the opportunity to see a helicopter "lingering" around KL sky to produce artificial rain. DOE will be busy with its Air Pollution Index and visibility updates.

I begin with tips on Air Pollution Index (API) measuring the quality of air on a scale of 0 to 300.

0 to 50 : Good
51 to 100 : Moderate
101 to 200 : Unhealthy
201 to 300 : Very Unhealthy
Above 300 : Hazardous

Take care of your health, wear mask!
